Beautiful 5x!! Out of curiosity, how many points did it take you to draw the tag?

Good bull!
I'd just like to remind everybody that it's about the hunting, not just the killing. In other words, it's about the total experience, the sport itself and the challenge involved. Bowhunting, done right, is a justifiable and honorable pursuit. Done for the wrong reasons, simply chalking up kills and seeking personal glory, it's taking away rather than giving back to a principled way of life that has to be experienced to be understood. Beautiful bull! Congrats  Nice scenery pics and good idea to take pic of hoof rot so you can show it to the WDFW for reporting.

I believe I had 9 points this year. Very fun hunt, lots of bulls and they are really vocal, not an easy hunt though, we worked hard for this bull I had nicknamed "billy" as he was living up there with the goats.

I was sad to see he had some hoof rot in the one hind leg, I heard its not affecting the elk up high because it's drier ground but I guess that's not the case. He showed no signs of favoring that leg, but it looked painful and smelled pretty sour.

Congratulations!!  Glad you took him.  won't have that decision come November :chuckle:  I think I've been watching him.  Out of the brush below Panhandle/Shovel?   Way to get it done.
