Looks like it takes better pictures than the $50 Tasco from Walmart:

Well, now I got some elk on the camera at the same location, so thought I'd just add them to this thread:

Finally pulled the card from my new D55, almost 500 pics in 2 weeks.  Most all were of the same small spike and doe and I'm pretty sure they haven't moved more than 8 feet in the past 2 weeks  :chuckle:

Snapped a couple of this youngster.  Nothing huge showing up yet.

All in all I'm pleased with the quality of the pics for the price I paid

I put it out about a week ago looking over a big pile of apples. Got 360 pictures of 2, or possibly 3 deer, one of which is a little buck.

I'm pretty new, but I think you have 2 little bucks there....?  Correct me if I'm an idiot (likely), but in the first set of pics it looks like there are 2 different bucks, one is the clean 2X2 and the other has a small 3rd point (spine, spike, branch, eyeguard, shovel, horn, bone.... did I get them all?) on his right side.

Doesn't look like the White Flash spooks the deer or elk at all, but do predators notice it?  Just curious.  I need to get a new cam since my Bushnell Trophy broke and I like the pictures and price of the camera you have.  I want to put up a cam for coyotes and predators around the house that doesn't spook them.

I had a Moultrie D40 (white flash) out all last winter on a bait pile for predators and got lots of pictures of both coyotes and bobcats. The flash never seemed to bother them and they kept coming back for more.

I bought four, just what I was looking for, a sub$100 camera  with a strong recommendation from a member.

Thanks for all the info.  I'm going to order one, and hope its better quality than my $200 Bushnell.  For that price I might get a couple.  I have an infra red Cuddeback and it takes OK pictures, but for the price and the fact that the game don't seem to mind the flash it isn't worth it.

Just remember, and I believe I already mentioned this, but with this camera you really need to use bait or some kind of attractant, to at least get the animals to slow down. Otherwise you may be disappointed with this camera, as you will very likely get a lot of pictures of nothing.
