I've been on hunts where blinds like that were used.  Couple dogs struggled with marking birds in the air, couple dogs were absolute champs out of them.

Judging from the level of energy your dog has in that pic, it may work for you.

Great lookin dog.  Good luck this year

I have a Mutt Hutt that i have yet to use. I practiced abunch with mine and it seems to help them stay put.

Gives him somewhere to go for "place" command.  He seems to like it with that smile. Have a good season.

Thats why I got it. I wanted to have a place for him to go. I have only hunted with a couple of dogs and they would only stay for a little bit.

I know my trainer, Ryan @ Long Hollow Retrievers used them on my dog... young dogs do better  with some kind of physical boundary for the stay command.. When i   trained my first dog i used a large stump, or the back of my truck... My last dog got so you could put him on a "stay" in the back of the truck and he wouldn't move even for cats... He liked chasing cats almost as much as ducks!  :chuckle:

david0, thanks for the post.  Looks like we have the same one.  I bought mine two years ago but couldn't get my Chessie to go in.  Decided today to give it another shot.  After ten minutes, both the Chessie and the Drent are catching on. Thanks for the motivation!

peanutbutter is a good command....smear it around in the back of it... :chuckle:
