who actually bought a permit let me know i have seen a bear 2 weekends in a row at the same spot but i don't believe in paying 400 dollars to take care of there problem.

I thought they were only $200.  And everyone in the rig had to have the permit too.  And that they were going to be open 7 days a week.

i don't know the exact price and yes everyone in the vehicle needs one. i was just saying i wont buy one but if someone has one i know where a decent little bear has been hanging out he is no trophy but he is there.

Personally I think the Hancock permits are a ripoff. My dad purchased one for $300 this year and he can only hunt deer, no elk. He can hunt bear before deer season opens but after that he cannot, What a crock.

The permits are 300$. I don't have a problem with paying for it cause its some of the best blacktail hunting in the state. You can't hunt elk in there because they only allow 4-6 hunters in there to hunt them (if you a buy a permit you get put into the draw). If you should get a 300+ bull out of there. I can see where guys don't want to pay that but the Indians can't go in there and its a two point min for the bucks so it is managed well. Its always nice to see a lot of deer and legal bucks during modern firearm. Just my

they are $200 for the snoqualmie farm and we can use them the entire year. anyone over 18 needs thier own personal permit but say a father can buy one and have his wife and kids (under 18) with him. i just went with my uncle last night when baught his and we went over this trying to get some way for me to be able to go up with him.

The Hancock access also includes a generous woodcutting permit, so for many, that's where they get their "value".

well tell your dad to head to Evans creek about 1.5 miles after the pavement stops glass the cuts to the left of the road i have seen that bear out there twice in two weeks not sure if its the same one but it was in the same location so good luck

I like it there get my critters,if ya get drawn for a bull there and dont get a monster ,you would have to be asleep at the wheel.lots of good bike hunting there also.plus the firewood,some killer fishing,bears up the ying yang and putty tats to!plus its 12 minutes from my place to the k gate.I wouldnt buy a permit now wait till jan then get it .

Yeah, I got drawn for the Kapowsin Spring Bear. Not knowing it would cost me 300 dollars and one for each person in the rig... I neglected to purchase my permit. With that cost and fuel cost from Everett, and not being able to camp just couldn't bring myself to do it...  Hearing about the good hunting, maybe I should have....

The price is a bit steep for sure, my buddy drew spring bear in there and got a brute...so to him it was worth it. Still trying to get him to let me post pictures...

Where do you fish in the Kapowsin area other than Lake Kapowsin? I like the permit and access though it's hard to dish out the $$. I haven't got a bear in there yet but for me it's finding the time with twolittle kids. I'm going to get one before the year is out.
The closure during any regular elk season is a crock, but what can you do?
