As I traveled to scout my property and set up trailer cameras near Colville Washington, I had 2 things in mind- How many nice bucks I would probably see and how I wish I could be hunting right now. However I had 3-4 weeks left until modern. As I approached and started to pack in UN godly amounts of weight. I eventually dropped my tree stand and decided to come back later. As I approached the first field-There were deer everywhere. I continued to head down towards the orchard near some apple trees and noticed a giant buck looking right at me. It was a beautiful 4X4. I'd say comapared to my 131 1/8 BC buck last year-it had to been close or over that. I decided to pull my camera out and take a photo and as I was about ready to take the picture, I noticed 2 cub bears right below me walking up towards me and shortly after that, here comes moma bear right towards me growling and standing tall. I can tell you that I never had this feeling before. I had a tag and did not want to spook the buck for good, but I felt like I almost had no choice. The 3 bears eventually started to climb up a hill and away from me but to this day. I will never forget what happen to me last Tuesday. I ended up snapping a once in a life time picture of the buck and the bears all in the same pictures. I will post them hopefully today or tomorrow. I also say 3 other bucks including a monster 3X3 however as we all know this isn't legal but that's okay:) because next year he will be bigger:)
