Definetly go to black diamond, they have a well run range.  I got sick of rentons 1 round only rule.

 :yeah:

..but keep in mind that the BD range on public days gets really busy this time of year and you may be waiting a long time for a bench if you don't get there early.

How many benches do they have there, and what ranges can you shoot out to?  I can find their trap range on Google Earth, but can't seem to locate the rifle range.

Are all the benches left/right?  It sucks at Renton to sit and wait for an hour or more for one of the 2 or 3 left hand friendly benches (with a right hand shooter using them and right benches open).
Nothing witty here.... move along.

If you do decide to go to Renton, you can easily convert any of the right hand benches to hefty benches by rotating them 90 degrees counterclockwise.   I asked the range master and he said "sure".   I didn't want to get on his bad side.  I've done it 6-8 times since so I know it's OK.

The rifle range is to the right of the trap range.  You can shoot out to 100 yards.  I am not sure whether or not the benches are left or right, and how many benches there are (I have not paid attention to these details the few times I've been there).  I do know that they have less benches than renton, and I would guess around roughly ten benches?  I know a Range Safety Officer at black diamond, and she told me that around this time there is always a line because of all the people looking to sight in hunting rifles.  So if you go there soon on a public day be prepared to wait.

If You Become  a Member at Renton  You Can Load more than 1 round
Also People who Show up 3 weeks before Hunting Season who aren't members at any range typically aren't well
treated  Has something to do with 52 weeks in a year  and    :chuckle: As a Member I wouldn't be waiting

I say just go to renton because its open to the public all the time not like black diamond and rentons range has a 50yd, 100 yd, and a 200yd. also waiting time is usually little to none, but if you worry about it just go early. Like other members have said 1 round rule at renton but if you have a bolt action rifle its not a big deal.
