A friend of mine died either last night or early this morning up in the ahtanum. I have heard much of the details on it yet but i know he died in a place that he loved. Please pray for his family. Thanks.

Sorry for your and thier families loss! I used to hunt in that area and I can think of a few spots where this may have happened. Ive caught myself inches from going over just taking in the scenery and looking for critters, I can see how easily this could have happened.

Very sad, indeed. My condolences to the families. One thing I learned when I got the Bronco II--when you are driving a short-wheelbase vehicle, you can't let your attention wander for an instant!

RIP Sam. It is so weird I was just talking to him last tuesday about cougar hunting and now he's gone. This accident really makes you look at how precious life is. Sam was a great guy. He was a DNR firefighter and avid hunter. At only 20 he took life by the horns and did what he wanted to do. He truly lived everyday like it was his last. I think everyone that knew Sam could learn something about life from him. Live everyday like its your last and don't just cruise though this journey that we call life. You will be missed by many..
