I killed my cow by 10am opening morning. Tried to help the muzz tag bull holder but we got busted at the last minute. He was holding out for a big one.  Wow did it get cold up there but no table mt smoke was great.  We are very lucky they opened coleman canyon east or it could of been hard.  I did come across 3 dead cow elk shot within 100yds and called yak region 3 but they said it was probably a hunter shooting into a group of elk and then weeding out what they wanted to take. Likely a bull

Colockum ridge road? We saw 2 there, one was 50 feet from main road.

Wounder if he was holding out just for opening day? We saw a spike hanging up by 4 corners Sunday, I thought it strange but chalked it up for the bull permit holder or ? Did see the sheriff heading that way.

Wife banged her cow Monday , actually seen allot of elk.  :)
