Shotgun help
« on: October 10, 2012, 09:07:44 AM »
My Remington 1100 only partially ejects the low brass shells (2 3/4") I am target shooting with. I first thought it might be a compression issue. Put in a new seal ring, but still the same result...

My season ended well last year, killing a limit of ducks with out issue. Cleaned it up and put it away until this last target shoot.

Suggestions?

Gas port holes are partially plugged up with crud... would be my first guess.  Will heavier shells run through it fine?
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

I would break it down and cleand the piston rings and the tube they slide. That is an area that could get kind of sticky  :dunno:

I was shooting 3" steel to end my season last year. I will try something like that today. I will also clean the slide to rings. Thanks!!
