I've taken BT's at all times of the day, but the majority have been in the morning hours.  Rain typically keeps them moving throughout the day.  One thing about blacktails, like others have hinted, is that there are no 'rules' to blacktails.  Some of the best bucks I've seen taken have been taken when and in situations that you'd least expect it.  Just do what you can to maximize your odds and your time and effort will pay off eventually.

I bowhunt and I've killed all my deer in the evening.  Most of those have been within 30 minutes of the end of legal shooting times.  Most of my hunting is done in the evenings after work and such, but the days I have been able to the mornings I rarely see a deer.  Even in the areas I know there are deer, I won't see them in the morning, but I will see them in the evening.

So to add to the confusion... just be out there and keep your eyes peeled!

shot all my bucks before 11am, but have seen blacktails moving all times of the day. like others have said, they fallow no rules.
Lick it and make it official.
