Has anyone had any hunting experience with these?  If you haven't heard of them they are donut lookin deals that replace your fletchings.  I'm asking here and lookin aroun to get a good idea of how efficient they are.  I heard they fall off and you lose a lot of arrows with them.  Anyone with first hand hunting knowlage of them would be great!  Thanks

They are one of those products that you either love or hate.  They are convienient but heavy and if your fall away rest isn't tuned properly then you will have clearance issues.  Yes if you get a pass through they come off or if you hit a branch.  I have some that I got just to see for myself.  They have been sitting on the shelf for about 5 years now.

Get some and try them for yourself.  You never know for sure until you do.

I'm gonna go four fletch blazer and tune them to my broad heads.  Four blade slick tricks.  Thanks for the input.  The fob looks cheesy.

There's a couple guys on here at least that swear by them. I run the 4 fletch blazers and 4 blade slick tricks and that combo works really great for me.

If you cross your blazers with string in a x pattern and set two blades too the string they will fly like darts if the bow is tuned !

The fob looks cheesy.

We need a head-in-the-sand smiley on here.  This would be a good chance to use it. 

Fob's work just like they say they should; don't let looks fool you.  The biggest problem the Fob's have is that people think they know what an arrow should look like.  I hunted for probably 5 or 6 years with them and absolutely loved them.  I'd still be using them if I hadn't switched to a longbow.  I'm one of the "I heard an elk way down there, and I'm going after it," kind of guys, so I've drug them through brush where you have to turn your bow sideways and push.  I won't say I've never lost one: I have.  I will say the ones I have lost have been because the back end of my arrow had hairline cracks from being shot too many times over too many years, and the nock was no longer tight; that's my fault for not checking my equipment or lowering my standards on what arrow makes it to my quiver, but it's not the Fob's fault.  I've never lost one in flight or from contact at the shot.  My 2 favorite things about them are the ease of re-fletching and the reduction in crosswind drift.  What I don't like is the reaction from some people who aren't up to speed on physics, so they think their arrows just have to be superior because they are shooting the industry standard.  (Not knocking you DIY or anyone on here, but I've had plenty of semi-heated discussions with less-than-intelligent individuals.)

Thanks for the perspective.  I might buy a few a mess aroun I have yet to get arrows for hunting this year so I'll get both and do a heads up battle against myself then Ill have a feet for them.  Might wait till a windy day.

Seems to be a lot of guys running the 4 fletched blazers and slick tricks.  Tried slick tricks with regular 3 fletch and I wasn't too impressed.  Do they fly that much better with 4?  You guys all getting this done up at Nock Point?

I got a jig and make my own.  Yes the four vane tuned to four blade makes a big differnce.
