That's to hang their jackets up in. They go big.

Ha ha ha... the big tent is the sleeping tent for 7 of us.
the alaknak is the sleeping tent for 3 more.
and we ALSO have a 12x20 cook tent that is set up too.
like i said we go BIG.
We are at about 6000 feet and there is about 10 inches now on the ground.
here is some more pics of our ELK CAMP storage, then loaded in the trailer and then up at camp this past friday night setting up.

Right now?  over 5000 ft. and east of the PCT will get you snow on the ground!

Guess I should not tell you about the enchiladas, lasagna, teriyaki chicken, or bourbon steak we eat in our elk camp...  or, the made from scratch peach/apple/cherry dutch oven cobbler we have about every other night.... or, the sausage, hashbrown and egg breakfast burritos we try to have at least 5 mornings.. we get tired of oatmeal pretty quick.

Oh, and for going into the daypack for lunch... summer sausage, string cheese, high quality trail mix, ....   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

and just for snacking on, anything from doritos to chips and salsa. all washed down with a good quality micro brew, or blackberry brandy, or rumplemintz,  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Saw elk everyday and hiked our butts off, but ate all our tags this year, but what a great camp. Nothing like 10 days in the woods with great family and friends. Next year we are leaning towards Colorado.
took about 600 pics in 10 days, here is a few.

Looks like a camp I would gain weight at and not get an elk. Id stay in camp and just eat and sleep. You guys see any big bulls?
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.
