Was wondering if anyone knew of a farm in Wa to buy pheasants for release on my property?

Honestly your best bet is to call the WDFW office and speak to someone in upland management. They will free of charge, send you a list of licensed farms in Washington State. This will ensure that you buy your birds from a licensed farm , being a licensed farm the birds will have the correct testing to be legally released in our state. BE SURE YOU GET AND KEEP THE GARMFARM RECEIPT THAT YOU WILL GET FROM A LICENSED FARM. That way when/if you are questioned you will have proper documentation. All birds you release if you plan on hunting must be banded or otherwise marked to prove they are not "native".
Please feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. I have been a licensed gamfarmer for the last 10+ years but decided not to this year when the license went up and the feed prices took off :bash:.

Thanks guys. Its good to know about the licensed game farm thing and the receipts as I almost bought some from a 'backyard' farmer today...would have too if they hadn't of been $60 a piece. Ill check the list out...sounds like a good plan.

Call and talk with Doug at Cooke Canyon. He has them on his site.

$60 a piece is ridiculous.  That's like $100 a pound sans feathers.
