Its a drawing, if drawn you can select that as an option when purchasing your tags. It allows the use of the any legal weapon for the given season.

Next year I think I am going to sacrifice an area just for blacktail by using apples for bait. There is several different spots I can think of that might be productive with using apples but I can almost guarantee that a bear will probably show up at some point considering its an area I see them or at least see lots of sign from every year. That's got me wondering how many people will not bait an area just because they know its a good bear area or for that matter how many pass up a shot on one because they area baiting nearby.

There is no rule that states you are only allowed to use apples. There are other things you can use that won't attract bear or at a minimum are less apt to attract bear. I have seen bear eat corn but are much less likely to find corn simply because it omits no odor. I have never seen a bear eat Alfalfa.

I tried alfalfa in front of one cam in August and it seemed the deer could care less about it. I had 4 different deer walk up on it and only one actually nibbled on it from what I saw in the pictures and none of them returned. Odd thing is I actually got a picture of a nice 6x6 lone bull sniffing the alfalfa on the 15th of September at noon. I think it was like 80 degrees that day too!  :dunno:
