I think he has too Rob.  Age or drought???
With the average antler growth I've seen on the bucks taken this year I'd have a hard time believing its a result of drought. I think you are probably spot on with his age, and likely the result of his lack of mass this year.

 On a side note, you might check that area out real good, his sheds shouldn't be too far away if you have found him in there for several years, he is obviously wintering close by. Last years set would make a great mount. :tup:
