Unfilled Taneum cow tag
« on: November 03, 2012, 08:20:58 AM »
Hunted hard Weds-Fri. Four of us had cow tags, and one buddy stumbled upon a wounded cow--but she was gone by the time he stopped his momentum (stepping over deadfall).

Very few shots from either Taneum or Manastash on Thurs or Fri. Spent a lot of time around Moonlight Canyon

I was hunting manastash from the opener until Wednesday. There were lots of cows. Hell we were on elk almost ever day. I found them deep in the canyons. That sucks you didn't fill your tag you still have more 2 days. Good luck

. I would be on the hill across and above the safety zone.  If you get one its all downhill to the road.  If you go in the elk heights side there are always elk in there.

wherever you go, get out there some where, you aren't going to kill a cow on the internet at 8:20 on Sunday morning

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Think he saw the elk as he was tripping over a deadfall and the elk ran off before he could get his bearings and shoot.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
