The muzzleloader rules actually make perfect sense. Since muzzleloaders are supposed to be "primitive," the muzzleloader season has more restrictions than the modern firearm season.

makes alot more sense to me to just have one muzzy style legal period, then there is no confusion. But its all good.

Well it's an active topic so if you're feeling strongly about it, make yourself heard. Muzzleloading in my opinion won't change though.  No better anyway
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Can you use a muzzleloader in firearm restricted areas? More specific. Island county?

I would say that it depends on the municipality.  Last I checked for a certain restricted area, it was only bows or crossbows allowed, due to the ordinances in place about discharge of particular weapons, including muzzle loaders.

Towns and municipalities can have more restrictive ordinances than the state does.  WA considers a ML a firearm so maybe those areas just don't allow firearms to be discharged but allow archery and crossbow discharges since their ranges are less.  Good for them that they allow something.

Kind of like in Snohomish County you can not discharge a center fire rifle west of HWY 9.

Here is the state WAC (not sure if there is more) of Special closures and firearm restriction areas..

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.
