Have you ever?
« on: November 05, 2012, 02:02:38 PM »
Had the actual elk you were scouting/hunting killed?  Last saturday of deer had it broadside at 25 yards.  Opening day jumped it out of its bed, but couldn't follow in the jack-firs.  Sunday drove by seen a guy loading in his truck, shot it right in the road.  Ever happen to you?

I killed a bull my buddy had trail cam pics of this year. He was dubbed "the candlestick bull" because his ivroy tips looked like candles in the dark.

I think if you really know a spot and really know what animals are there, that this happens all the time.  I'm talking about those on here that see a buck and have a name for him and pics from the last few years.  I haven't with elk, but deer many many times.
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

That would be hard to swallow but that is how it goes I guess
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Been patterning a 5x5 Roosie near NB for about 3 weeks.  He and I played peek-a-boo in timber and then he made it to private opening day.  Bedded all day on private yesterday.  Driving in to my spot about to hike and see another truck.... 5x5 loaded in back.  *sigh*  This stinks.
