I saw a 6x6 on the a-line today. It was a weird 6x6 points were drop times! But they pointed upwards like a normal rack  :chuckle:

Fall river for late elk?  Bring your chainsaw.  They bury pretty deap into the brush after rifle season.  Nice that you get to take a bull if you see one there.  But, meat is a whole lot easier to find elsewhere.  Years ago we had that unit almost all to ourselves during late archery.  Never saw good numbers of elk, but we would see good bucks everyday. Now there are people crawling all over the place and bucks are few and far between.  Elk numbers about the same, but we have to hunt a whole lot harder to find them.  On it's way to becoming the new Winston :bash:  Without the elk numbers >:(

My honey holes for Fall River are different with every new clearcut and vehicle that comes there.  Find some tracks and drop into the worst, most nasty, God foresaken piece of jungle, why the hell did I ever, I'm going to die in here brush you can find.  It's an easy spot to find in Fall River.  All you have to do is get out of your truck :chuckle:  I love to hate that place!

Hoof rot is getting bad there.  50% of the elk I've seen in the last three years have had it.  Last seven bulls I've seen in there during season were 2X2's (all spikes with brow tines not the forkies you see in the Clockum).  Elk hunting there in the late season can get pretty frustrating.  But, no better eating elk in all of Washington in my opinion.

Good luck to you.  Find one of the few good bulls in there that hasn't yet been poached.  I'll be rooting for you

Sounds like you may have a better spot than me.  They might not be hiding quite so deep up there.
