Elk trip from Hell
«
on:
November 07, 2012, 05:04:55 PM »
started as a reunion between 4 brothers & 1 nephew who hadent been together all at once in years. one from NC, AZ & 2 from opposite sides of Wa. got to camp thursday. all ok, 1 bro left to arrive. friday NC bro had to take Az bro to dayton hospital to get checked out.all worked out ok. on way back to camp they stopped at the bottom of a hill to allow a pu to come down(SNOW). the guys comming down had to much speed & ended up smashing in to my pu that the bros were driving. they arrive back at camp & show me the damage(F%#$&K). got all the info? ok! will deal with it. that night heard my youngest had blown up in e-berg comming home for the weekend. wife goes & gets him, the gas station where they left the pu (no speeka english) said it would be towed so my other son borrows a truck & trailer to go retrieve it. 250 in deisel(F%$##@K) then i have a wolf encounter,ok see the wolf site.
then my bro & i hike to the end of a ridge only to come back to the truck & his phone is buzzing 911.
calls his wife & the g-baby is in trouble. end of story is that it didnt end well. all that were there pretty much lost all ambition of the hunt.
after he left for the emergency the reunion turned from a joyous occasion to a sorrowfull one.
& then on the way out we had a flat.
This was the elk hunt from hell & one that i wish we had never taken.

thanks for the replys & wishes. WOW i never noticed the 6 thing. at one time i had a bunch more posts untill the crash a while back.
My brother, his wife & his daughter(g-babys mamma) could use all the prayers they can get.
G-babys mamma is in the air-force & my sis inlaw & bro have taken care of her when her mom was away.(home now) so it has hit them very hard.
she was three.

man that sucks, my advice people always have problems, when im fishing or hunting their problems are not mine, they are mine all year long, i tell people when the boat leave and nothing stops me from going unless its my wife or kids, adults are ON THEIR OWN
