Not a lot of pressure for them in rifle restricted areas.  I use 870 with a Hastings rifled barrel and a 2.5 power Pentax lightseeker II

How is that barrell? I'm thinking of getting one. what would you consider the maximum humane effective range?

I use a Benelli Nova with Dead Coyote choke and Dead Coyote 3" loads. But I have killed more coyotes with a old 870 using #4 buckshot.
