2012 Wind River Elk Hunt

Well not to much of a story.. but I missed the first week of Rifle Elk due to work
We made it up friday night the 9th after work and set up camp. Seen two cows the first day but was unable to get a shot opportunity, for the next couple days after that we could never find any Elk as it seemed we were always a step behind them. Then finally today we located a herd within 10 minutes from the truck, couldn't find any horns in the bunch but I was able to get a shot on this cow and fill my cow permit.
As she lays (date and time is off)

Congrats. I used to hunt there every year. Elk can be tough to find.
