Bucksnort that is an excellent buck!!  :tup: Congrats, and you are lucky you didn't blow his horn off. Friend of mine shot a buck along time ago with his 223 and poked a small hole clean thru. Another shot the right antler off a blacktail with a 7mm. Love to see your buck when he is mounted

Got this little guy on IEP land on the 17th one 40 yard shot from the .257Wby and 115gr Berger at 3400fps DRT.

I would love to post my 2x2 on here, but I must thank that nice guy that saw me taking aim at him and decide to drive up and stop and see what we were doing.  I will admit we were just getting out of the truck on the side of a road when we jumped the buck, but if you see someone raise their rifle that is not the time to drive up and see what is going on.  thanks buddy!  :bash: Tag soup for me this year.  Good to see people getting meat in the freezer including some first timers this year though!


Unfortunately this is part of hunting public land. There are idiots everywhere.
