I've hunted 379 late muzzy, but not 381. Always wondered about it, though. Good luck.

we will be over there on friday.  Good luck with the feel free to hunt land.  I checked that out last year and didn't even see a tweety bird.  But had to check it out.  now I know it is a waste of time.  It is mostly all private.
Happiness is being in the woods!!!

;) last year there was snow! Big difference this year! FYI when the weather hits the deer migrate to the east ( across the pasco/kahlotus hwy) big temp difference by the river. without the snow the deer will be on the ffth land.

Teanawayslayer, Its that bad hu..Im driving 5 hrs lol..And staying the night in a hotel..I hope the spot I picked out isnt the same one you hunted..

I found two ffth spots with some water and a little bit of cover..

I heard there were allot of deer over there for late Muzzy.. Id be happy with meat in the freezer. But im also prob spending couple hundred on gas food and a motel so if its that bad maybe ill back out..

Kinda why I was asking n here.

How was 379?
Janntihunter, I haven't been back to unit 379 in several years. That unit used to be open to antlerless. We would hunt the Hanford Reach. We would see fair amounts of deer in the early season, and hardly any in the late. My brothers and I did see a big buck swim across the Columbia. With us coming down the slope, and seeing an upland hunter with a dog by the river, he decided to get the heck out of there.
The last time my buddy and I were there, it was so burned up, that we haven't been back.
I have always thought of heading farther east to 381, but I just don't know anything about that unit.
Good luck to you.

379 is a waste of time in my opinion if you didn't scout it.  I found a couple spots to go before the season and then opening morning it was ruined, there were people EVERYWHERE!!!  There were some big bucks across the river but they knew what was going on.
