You do have this option for long/stagger feed actions.

I want the stock to have a little color this time. I'm not looking for the tactical look on this one. I already have guns for that purpose. This is going to be more of a bench gun. Looking at the colored laminates.

Check out Sharp Shooters Supply. The wait on my last one was about 4 months, but they are great stocks.

Sorry to interrupt, but is there such a thing as a Savage barrel in 358 win?

There aren't any factory barrels but you can get an aftermarket one. I have a 19" McGowan which shoots great!

Just about any barrel maker that makes Savage prefit barrels can make your calliber and contour of choice.  I have a 25-204(204 Ruger necked to .25 cal.) barrel from PacNor,  250 Sav and 6x47 Rem barrels from Shaw.  Midway list a 358 Shaw barrel but is out of stock.  If your intrested in building on a Savage action  Savage Shooters forum is a great place for technical info.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Yorktransport, how did you contact Sharpshooter supply? I have called like 50 times and can not get anyone to answer. I want to talk to them rather than email i have a bunch of questions.

The trick is to call early morning, about 9am. Just keep trying. I've had Lisa answer on the first ring sometimes and other times it's taken a few days. Getting in touch with Sharp Shooter is the biggest complaint that people have about them.

I sent an email with a couple of questions, it took 2 days for Lisa to answer it. Basically she asked for my phone number....2 days later she called me. She was great to work with. Good luck.

Nice looking stock! Where is it from? I need something like that in a laminated orange.

That's a Sharp Shooters Supply LVT stock. He actually does offer it in an orange laminate.

I had one made for my 375 BME project. My only complaint with it is that the pistol grip is a little too full for my liking. I sold mine as soon as I got it. The quality of the stock is top notch. I just didn't like the grip.
