Ya...here's a picture of the rack....6X7. My buddy shot it at 40 yards with a bow. He drew 1 of 15 special elk permitts for the 418 - Nooksack unit. Our local Warden here says he thinks it will score at least in the top 3 of the state for an taken with a bow just because of the girth. He showed me some scouting video of a 9X9 in the same area 3 days before the season opened. That was the Bull he went after, but when he got there, this girthy 6 or 7 seven year old bull had taken the herd from him. So he harvested this one....and the very next day....the 9X9 was back.

Your right about that Bscman.......I put in for that tag to. they gave out 5 bow tags, 5 rifle tags and 5 muzzleloader tags. I wanted the rifle tag because while you're in there on your hunt, you can shoot anything else that is in season as well, as long as you have a tag. Bear, Cougar, etc....

He got to pick up keys to all the gates as soon as he was drawn to start scouting. He sure made good use of his chance.

Yes he did!

As close as we are to the herd, I find myself up there around this time every year just to watch, hear, and snap a few photo's of 'em.
Wishful thinking I guess.... :)
