A couple of late NE Palouse Whitetails
« on: November 21, 2012, 08:41:10 AM »
My uncle and I drew the late Palouse tags this Fall and had high hopes for a couple of whoppers.   Hunting conditions were less than ideal with fog and crusted over snow every day.   We shot both of these bucks on our last day and were happy to get our tags filled.    He shot his while I was gutting mine.  Something was definately in the air....

 :o nice ones.

Nice bucks...congratulations.  Had to smile.  A generational type picture.  You with your synthetic/stainless rifle and your uncle with his ol' school wood/blued one.  Apparently the bucks didn't care one way or the other.

That's a good one for sure.  I've been on a lot of hunts with my uncle over the years.  He's real partial to his old school Remington .280  He can be a little unbearable the rest of the year if he doesn't connect.  I was real happy to seee him get his deer.  As for me, I should have had a little bigger smile on my face.
