I keep going back to the 6X45 idea.
I handload and love 6mm pills.

If you like the 6mm, look into Black Hole Weaponry's 6mmX6.8 SPC barrels.  That's going to be my next AR build. 

Part of the appeal is resizing .223 Rem brass, which is everywhere and the same bolt.
Really, just a barrel and dies.

Same thing with the 6.8 SPC--If you already have one!

Not if you already have a 6.8 SPC.  Same case.  I emailed and asked Black Hole that specific question.  Not that it matters to me--I'm getting another bolt and carrier in 6.8 SPC anyway.

Funny, but I think Tim would be trying to fire a 30mm out of it or maybe something you would normally fire from a M1 tank.
