I can't make up my mind. I have been seeing does and fawns just about every trip out this year... just no bucks!! I have seen 2 does in the same place the last 2 trips. Thinking up smoking one and ending my season....
Do I wait....
or put meat on the pole??

I've been hunting Hancock WR and it's been a ghost town. I'd take a doe in a heartbeat.

I had a huge doe give me and my kids the slip lastnight. Went back today in the wind and saw nothing. Getting the meat pole ready.

i wont shoot a doe unless im certain it is barren. they are usually by themselves and are somewhat shaggy looking. these are not by the rule but it helps. i wont shoot a deer which will produce more deer. mike w

I understand people that will not soot a doe but, also shooting a buck you are stopping him from breeding many does. Thus the buck is producing more deer. This was how a game biologist explained it to me one time.

It wouldn't be legal if the local biologists were really concerned.

I ended my season tonight. I shot the biggest mulie doe out of a group of 15. I was really looking for a white tail buck but hey, the freezer will have meat in it. Sunday morning, I can take a doe on my second deer tag.
