Lots of Christmas sales going on for the Samsung. But is the iPhone worth the full price?

I hate Apple. Good quality, but a very closed system. You must buy everything from them.

I prefer Android.

Lately I had wanted to get away from Android because it is run by Google and I feel they know too much about people and everything as it is. However, some research had led me to believe that Apple pulls the same antics about developing a 'profile' on you and selling it to whomever they choose. So I guess the only way to get away from it all would be to have an old analog phone and I don't think those even work on the networks anymore.

I have had every IPhone there is.  Now the 5.  I wont own another phone that's for sure.  All my laptops and PC are Windows based but just pulled the trigger on my first Macbook Pro and love every bit about it.  Yes it's worth it!!

I just read an article about a flashlight app that has the capability to send photos back to it's maker without the users knowledge.

I just went from a stupid phone to a iPhone 4S. I paid $69 for it with my upgrade. I wouldn't pay full price for any phone. Verizon was offering a 8gb iPhone 4 for free when I got this one. The 5 was $169. Why people pay full price is beyond me. I will say this phone is awesome. We've got another iphone with thr wife, a mini Mac and an ipad at home too. They're all cool ad heck once you figure out the OS.

See that's the kind of s* I'm talking about. I think in the future I'm going to start paying for more apps rather than taking the free ones.

One point in favor of the iPhone is that I heard that an app can't read and steal your personal info from other apps on your phone. Not sure if anyone here can confirm or dispel that.

Since we have a MBP I thought that using the iCloud would be cool. Very convenient to take photos with the phone and for it to sync with the puder. Then I read about that guy.

I have a Casio G'zOne Commando. I got it because it's waterproof, shock proof, and the screen is HIGHLY scratch resistant. It fits my lifestyle (hunting the wetside :chuckle:) I love it I've soaked it, dropped it smashed it and it still looks new almost 2 years later.

I also just got a. New iPhone 4S. It was $50 and our monthly bill actually went down by $15. I love it. It's a phone, a camera, a calculator, a GPS, a video game, an Internet browser, etc, etc, etc.

Probably my favorite thing about it is the aerial photos. Just wish I had this thing 20 years ago.

Picked up the iPhone 5 about a month ago.  I like the bigger screen over my iPhone 4. Definitely a lot faster with the 4G service on downloads.  I wouldn't want any other phone personally.

Just got the new Samsung Galaxy 3, real happy with it so far no complaints other than we will not have 4G service in my area until March.
