Hunting Trip Ideas???
« on: December 07, 2012, 12:19:26 PM »
Hi Everyone,
Due to work, I was not able to take vacation with my family this year. They will be gone for almost four weeks, so I have tons of time to get out and hunt. Not having them home for the holidays is going to really suck. I really want to take a 3 - 4 day solo hunting trip for duck & upland combo, or just ducks.
*** Not looking for specific spots, just general areas so I can research myself. I love to explore and learn new areas.

Timing: Between December 18th and 31st
Duration: 3- 4 days
Location: Anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho. For fee access to private land would be OK, but no preserves or guides.
Equipment: I have a 2 dozen flocked duck decoys that I can pack in. Pull string & wind spinners. I also have a layout blind.
Dog: Solid Upland & Waterfowl Lab.
Budget: Under $1000 for the trip including gas and lodging.

Thanks in advance!!!
SD

I would spend that time exploring the potholes. Lots of walk in access and the way the weather has been I think things will heat up quick when things start freezing. Sounds fun to me.
what in the wild wild world of sports???
