Big Utah bull
« on: December 12, 2012, 10:57:55 PM »
Sas"s work had their office dinner tonight. One of the guys had a pic of a bull from Utah that will put pressure on the Spider bull.   Has anyone else seen  or have a picture of this guy?

It all depends on how you want to hunt. A lot of those big bulls are in good units where all you need to do is be lucky enough to draw a tag with years of bonus/pref points. Then hunt your butt off for a week or so and you might stand a decent chance at seeing a big one during your season. Then, be fortunate enough for circumstances to fall just right and you may be able to harvest one. That hunt would all together cost you maybe, 2-3 grand, depending on how many points you have bought over the years. Or.... be lucky enough to draw the tag, then spend about 15-20k and hire a big name outfitter, sit by the phone and wait for him to call you and tell you he has one spotted for you. Then you jump on a plane, have a nice dinner at red lobster, get up in the morning and shoot your bull. You then proceed to pose for several hours of picture and video taking. Of course you'll have to re-enact the shot scene. Remember to act really happy and surprised when you shoot it for the second time. Then give the big name outfitter a big fat tip. Then you get on a plane and get home in time to watch the Seahawks. :chuckle:

wow link, thats sounds like some good huntn right there  :chuckle: yeah if i ever spend 20 grand on somethn it will be one of those alaskan yukon hunts for moose, grizz with a homemade spear (hand thrown spear) not an arrow, maybe i can get a discount on the hunt if i spear the grizz, trust me i would do it in a heartbeat if given the chance. i would also like to get a wolverine and mayb a couple of stud sitka blacktails...ok so maybe 20 grand is shorten it abit, probably more like 40 huh? it would be nice to have a bull on the wall as big as one of those in this thread though....

Nice bull but....I would rather go out and scout for a hard earned 3 point than pay $20,000 for a big boy like that.  And when I got home I wouldn't watch the Seahawks either...I'd watch the Steelers! :chuckle:

Just to be clear, I am not saying these bulls in the post are those types of hunts. I have no idea who these guys are. I was just making a sarcastic post about the question "how much does a bull like that cost".  :chuckle:

the animals are nice, i'll give them that but, that's it.  I'd much rather enjoy reading about an animal that was earned by the hunter themselves, trekking through whatever terrain and being out in the field everyday scouting and prepping and finally connecting on their trophy, whether it was a big bull or not.
