Neither, I prefer turkey. :chuckle:

Elk hands down.  They are more challenging than deer and the are so fricken majestic.  I feel like its an honor to take one.  There is nothing easy about elk hunting.

Elk hunting for sure. I look forward to September and bugling bulls year around. I never get all too excited about deer since I pretty much just look at it as a meat hunt for the first legal animal.

Deer hunting for me. Live and breath whitetails.

That being said I do get a rush out of sept. bulls. I love the hose pack in and out heavy with meat and antlers.

"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

I am a better deer hunter. Deer hunting is  more enjoyable to me. But I hunt elk harder and really cherish elk more.

:yeah: Couldnt of said it better. I personally suck at elk hunting  :chuckle: But it makes me push so much harder, for deer its a whole lot easier so its far more enjoyable most of the time.

Whitetail's only for me. Elk are awesome animals but hunting them doesn't interest me much if there is a deer season. I have passed up bulls each of the last three years.

If it is good elk hunting, I prefer elk. But I would rather hunt in the rain than the 80 degree heat and dust. This last year was a tough season for me in terms of elk. I had more fun deer hunting this year, but in the past seasons, elk hunting has taken the cake
