Watching the ammo fly out the door.
« on: December 18, 2012, 01:21:39 PM »
Yesterday, I figured I should top off the 5.56 stash. So I jumped on over to Ammoman.com and picked up a bunch of 62gr SS109. At the time I ordered there were 650 (750 round) cases in stock. I just checked back on the site and in less than 24 hours, they are down to 198 cases left.

I'm covered but I don't see one single box of 5.56 or .223 available on that site?

Not sure why the run on ammo....  Mags and AR's sure, but any legislarion that may be coming down the pipe isn't likely to ban certain calibers.  With that said, I have my stash, but I always try to keep those quantities on hand.

There was proposed legislation after the aurora shooting that would've targeted ammo....mostly buying in large quantities and mail order.  Anyone buying more than the 'limit' would've needed licensing and ID.

This is off track here, but, I bought a complete Rock River upper in 458 SOCOM for $750. I looked at Gunbroker and I saw one for $1799 and the other for $ 2799 for the complete uppers only. The ammo, which I have has gone out of this world if you can find it. Same with the Starline brass for it. Ok, back on track, sorry for  :jacked:

Yep, the hoarding has started, and for a lot of people it's just so they can turn a pretty profit selling the stuff when a new AWB passes.

All that matters is that it's out of the warehouse and in circulation.

Private gun ownership is now at 270 million for a population of 310 million. How awesome would it be if we could get that to a 1:1 ratio next year.

Rumor has ut there was a  near-rumble at tulalip cabelas the other day over some pmags. One guy cleared the shelf of all they had. He turned and was looking at some ammo while another guy was taking Mag's out of his cart.

I just left that store a couple hours ago and they were fairly busy in the firearms section with limited AR's left a few low end Bushmasters and a lone DPMS .308, which I repeatably heard the salesmen describe as a DMPS to several people he showed it to. I was eyeing the Sig Sauer 1911 .22 but just couldn't do it.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Cheap *censored* deal hungry spend thrift that I am, I will say this: whether you spend $12 or $33 for high cap magazines, whats important is that you learn that you should have them... lots of them. You wont remember how much you paid for them when the Obama Phone Lady is pounding on your door, hungry for brains...
