I haven't used them but have a few buddies who do, they work quite well and from what I have seen fly well right out of the box.

I love them. They are super easy to tune and fly great. I knocked down an elk last year and the G5 did good damage.

great broadhead but expensive. anything that is pointed and razor sharp will kill animals cleanly.

Just ordered nine of them today. 6 for hunting, three for practice. $100(another extra shift) throwing them onto another dozen arrows(another $100) and will see how they shoot. I've been shooting aluminium witht he compound. I am going to try carbon. I can get more practice shots out of them.

I shoot ACC's but have been considering a switch to the FMJ arrow they fly great and the other axis arrows are tuff as hell. I think the only downside is that they will bend like an aluminum arrow but with the added carbon are tuffer. They are also less affected by wind as the shaft diameter has less surface area to affect. Also the weights are extremely heavy for a carbon arrow, much more than anything else out there. The other thing is that they penetrate better as they focus the energy into a smaller area versus other carbon or aluminum arrows. That's my 2 cents.

I like the concept of the G5, my only beef has been with the word re-sharpen,,,,,..........( woops sorry, had to throw a fit the Indians just scored in the 11th, *#@*>%#),.... anyway sharpness is what counts and the G5's only knock is you have to sharpen it constantly, but that is the same with any
reasharpenable
broadhead.

I have been using Montec's for the past 3 years! I wouldn't trade them for anything, I shot a 5 pt bull 2 years ago with them and it actually went through his front shoulder!!! And this year I shot a big bull, and the broadhead went out the opposing front shoulder as well! Thats 2 bulls that the broadhead has went through the shoulder blade on a big bull!!
I shoot the off of an Easton A/C Superslim 400 shaft, which I may add are some of the best shafts on the market as far as I am concerned! Anyways, they are definetly worth the money! And they fly awesome!

I took a 5 point bull and a bobcat this year with the G5. They worked excellent, won't use anything else. As far as sharpening them "super easy". I have a small steel and the angle of the blades allows you to run it across 2 blades at once. The other nice thing is they sell practice heads so you don't have to use your hunting heads until the last day or so.

I've shot them since they came out and haven't changed since. One time I shot though my Block and into a steel post on my fence, the broadhead stuck in it without bending or warping in any way. As far as animals go, I've had nothing but success with the Montecs. They come razor sharp and are very easy to touch up.
