Ok,.looks  like lots of new  cow tags in many of the units... Just a reduction in the Sept tags in one of the better trophy units... Nothing to see here folks, move along. These aren't the droids you're looking for.  Move along!  8)

Well Carp how long are you willing to wait for? I talked to a few people in Unit 10 this year and 13 years was the  going wait. That is one of the top units, though. if you're willing to stoop down to a 300" bull there are lots.of.easier units to draw such as 4b or 6a.

Yup. Which is why I'm glad they cut the cow elk hunt for Unit 10 in Sept.

Late season (Nov) archery tags are much easier to come by.

Depends on the weapon and the season.

Do some research for the elk hunts on this page:
http://www.azgfd.gov/eservices/BonusPointProcess.shtml

Lots of good info there on draw odds by 2012 hunt number and number of bonus points

Hmmm, well I have 13 elk points, meaning I will have 14 for the draw.  Choices, choices....   :chuckle:

Actually, I'm probably going to hold out another year or two so I can draw a Unit 9 tag.
