Benelli nova
« on: December 24, 2012, 09:56:16 AM »
I've got a nova I never use anymore and I want to change it to a tactical version. I can't seem to find any parts anywhere online i.e. adjustable stock and shorter barrel. I did find a barrel on benellis website but it was a ridiculous price.

Is this possible or should I consider trading it for something like an 870?

Well I haven't been able to find anything at all. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I really don't know. Would it be possible to cut the barrel down? If I remember correctly you have to have an 18 inch minimum barrel so obviously wouldn't be any shorter than that.

You can but a shorter barrel from cabelas for 200.  If you want an adjustable stock you will need to get something else. I have been looking at getting a supernova but the accessories are VERY limited.

Take a look at what magpull offers for 870s and you will want to trade for one.
I have a nova and love it but mine is hunting only.

For what you are wanting to do there are endless amounts of aftermarket parts for the 870 but very little for the nova.

Awesome I don't know why I couldn't find those barrels before. Looks like midway has them too. Now I'm torn between selling the nova for an 870 or just fixing up the nova...
