back in upstate new york we used to snag herring for bait for catfish and striped bass fishing. occasionally we'd come across a big carp. we'd snag it and land it, and take it up to the chinese restaurant in town. they'd trade it for dinner of our choice, regardless how many of us kids there were. we sure looked like a crazy bunch riding our bikes through town with a 20lb carp slung over my shoulder, but it was worth it.
