Google Restricts firearms shopping search results
« on: December 30, 2012, 05:25:19 PM »
Tried to do some pricing on some equipment today only to find out that my google search was being restricted. You can no longer shop for firearms, ammunition and many other firearms related topics on google. So I said goodbye to google today. Deleted my email and every tie to them. Now using "Bing" .....asta la vista you communist google a??holes. I'm joining the millions boycotting you until you restore privacy and freedom on the net.

I don't know what gives then. I'm not the only one either. I read that they are sti working on the restrictions and that they have made the decision to restrict shopping results for firearms but don't have all the searches restricted yet but are working on it. Try to shop for an AR15 and use the shopping tab. Bet you only see t-shirts and trinkets come up on your search.

I switched to BING years ago when I found out Al Gore was on the board of Google. :o  Haven't missed it at all!!  My digital media guru brother resisted for some time until he had to use Bing on my company computers.  He now agrees it is equal if not better than Google and without supporting communists.

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Nope it's lagit. Look again... Try using their shopping tab. You used to be able to search for firearms for sale on their shopping tab and it would come up with all of the online retailers and their prices. No more .....

Ok I'll say it once again and be more specific. When you enter a specific search into the box and hit search you get web results. You could then instead of choosing one of those results click on one of the several tabs at the top, one of which is a "shopping" tab usually located within the "more" tab. Using this tab would list all retailers and their price for that day for that specific product you searched for. You can no longer search for ammunition  or firearms there. Yes you can web search firearms and it wi come up with some online retailer website addresses and info but you can no longer get shopping results on their shopping tab which grouped all the retailers and their prices for your ease of shopping online. It may only be one aspect of google but censorship is not freedom and I want nothing to do with them anymore.

Enter your search parameter, click "More" and "Shopping".

Here's a search for Sierra bullets: http://www.bing.com/shopping/search?q=sierra+bullet&FORM=L8SP10

I think you are having a problem with your computer.

Notice in the upper left I used "Shopping"

When I pass, do not let my wife sell the guns for what I told her they cost.
