Whisker Bisquit or Hostage Pro?

I am sure there are better options available but regarding these two, is there any advantage or disadvantage to one over the other? Thanks for your thoughts?

If you are using short veins like Blazers i think you will have no problem with either. I had a WB and my wife has a HP. I would think the trade off is this. the HP will last longer, but the WB will have a more positive hold on your arrow. IF you use a fletching with some kind of helical wrap neither will work great, possibly better with the HP. Also if you need to twist you knock on the arrow to "Index"?? your knock point to the carbon wrap you would need to re-fletch that arrow. I think both are great hunting rests, and the only way to find out how they shoot for you is to get one.

Well I've had a WB on one bow since they first came out, it's still going strong.  Other then some kinds of soft vanes wrinkling I've never had a problem with any wrap lasting as long as the rest of the arrow shaft.  WB's arw about as foolproof & durable as a rest can get. What more do you need.

 I don't have any experience with the Hostage Pro so I can't comment.

never shot anything but the wisker biscut and i love it. i have a tremor in my hands and arms and it makes it possible for me to bowhunt. i shake too bad to hold the arrow othewise. it has taken 5 years but i have figured out how to be very accurate out to 50 yards so far.

I shot the WB for a long time. I switched to a rip-cord this year and I think they are a lot better. I get better groups at longer distances.

I've had a WB on my bow for the last 3 years and its still good as new. I shoot at least 12-24 arrows a week. But you cant beat it when your beating the brush on the west side.

I have two bows, one with the WB and one with the HP.  After numerous shooting sessions with different combinations of the two bows, rests, arrows, and fletching patterns I have drawn a couple of very important conclusions.  The offset vanes I normally use do not, will not, can not shoot with consistency with the HP but they are very accurate and consistent with the WB.  With straight vanes I haven't noticed a difference in how the two rests shoot.  So, unless you're using straight vanes I definitely would not recommend the HP.

Thanks for everyones input. I probably should have mentioned I have been shooting straight Blazers through a WB on my current bows. Looking at picking up a new bow as mine are almost antiques at this point. Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything with the HP.

Oh, one more thing I should mention is that the bottom set of bristles on my HP wore out much more quickly (several weeks) than the WB (about 3-4 years).
