You know looking at this guy a bit, it almost looks like someone may have hacked his account... I mean it might be that he is the dumbest guy on earth using his real name, his photo to threaten someone like that.  I kind of wonder if it is legit though.  He might not even know that this was posted under his name.  But that doesn't make the threat any less real.

That being said, I would report it to your local LE department and the FBI.  Take a screen shot of it, in the event that he decides to delete it.  This needs to be reported in case you are put into a situation with this guy and something happens so it is documented.  That way you have a trail.  When you report it, if it is substantiated I would also take the report and go to your local superior court and file for an order of protection.  That will protect you as well in the event that you have a run in, and if something does happen you can show that you took the steps needed with the legal system to protect yourself.

I would also make sure that you take a screen grab of his picture for yourself so you can keep an eye on your surroundings to make sure that he isn't around you.  While I wouldn't be paranoid about it, I would defiantly commit his face to memory.  If you don't carry already I would start, you just never know with some of these environmental whacko's.

I would start with local Lynden PD, They'll have a contact at the FBI to work with. Also, contact YouTube and get them to aquire the IP address of the threat/post asap before router logs are over written or cache is dumped. They may not be able to give you the information without a court order or contact from the police, but initiating the data request now is in your best interest. Even if it is not the owner of the account that made the post,  whoever posted the threat can be given a stern warning not to do so in the future. It could just be some kid/hacker. Stepping out on a limb, Where this guy lives, it would be a stretch for a person of his career/accomplishments/travels to even own a 629.

After going and reading his other posts on other videos I am convinced this guy made the threat himself. Right after he commented on Shane's video he commented on another Mt Baker video and it is mainly talking about him visiting Mt. Baker.
