Got a call back from the local police officer.  He said it didn't constitute a felony threat and there really wasn't a lot he could do about it.  I asked him about calling the FBI and he said I could but they probably wouldn't do much about it either.  I called the FBI but the Duty Officer did not answer so I left a message.  Like I said earlier, I also submitted an online FBI request but haven't heard anything from that either. 

From here I'm not really sure where else I can go.  If I don't hear back from FBI at all, I may take the route of at least calling his HR Department, see if I can at least help him lose his job... 

Any other advice from you guys?

I'm not sure why you would make light of a death threat, or wonder if they should be turned in; report them to law enforcement and forum management.

I think since you have attempted at having LE look into it I would work on having YouTube impose ban/restrictions and do what else you can to bring his threats to light. Regarding his employer....I don't know enough about the law to encourage or discourage....wouldn't want you to get in trouble for harassment. By the way...this thread gave me good reason to go back and watch some vids. Good stuff and keep your head on a swivel.

I also think this is a great example WHY you should keep as much info private as possible. Being easy to find is a double edge sword, and making yourself a target means you need to keep that in mind...  BTW just about anyone who speaks out is making themselves a target.

I talked with the Duty officer at the Seattle FBI office.  He just referred me to the Internet Crimes website to submit a report.  After submitting the report he the IC3 website simply said this:

The IC3 receives thousands of complaints each month and does not have the resources to respond to inquiries regarding the status of complaints. It is the IC3's intention to review all complaints and refer them to law enforcement and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction. Ultimately, investigation and prosecution are at the discretion of the receiving agencies.

Doesn't give me a lot of faith in anything coming out of that.  When I mentioned to the FBI officer that he was a federal employee he immediately asked if I had contacted his employer.  I didn't push him at all as to whether or not I should but he seemed to think that was a natural course of action.  I think I'm leaning that direction at least.

Well, that is understandable regarding the volumne of complaints and the ability to get into each and every one of them. I can't believe I missed the part regarding the fact he is employed by the Gov......carefull......this could be an unstable individual. You just never know. Like I said....keep your head about you and thanks for the updates.

I would look into this too.  But mostly would hope that there is a record of you contacting various agencies for assistance.
