New arrow Rest Question
« on: January 09, 2013, 08:45:32 PM »
I live and hunt on the westside. I have been kicking the idea around of a new rest that will hold my arrow better. With the brush here I have had my arrow slip between the riser and rest while putting a sneak on. Any suggestions would be great.

ive got a trophy taker smackdown pro n my shop glued on a little hooya to my shelf that my arrow locks into.i rarely use the hooya due to that the containment bar on the rest is really quiet n keeps the arrow well.

I hate to say it, but a WB would be a great choice for the west side.  It makes a tiny bit of noise, but those blacktails don't seem to care.

If it was a whitetail you were hunting, we'd look at different options.  WB is just too noisy for those spooky critters (although they will still work on a whitetail if you get high enough in the tree  :chuckle:  )

If the brushes freeze that wouldnt work for late season. Seems like the trophy taker might be a good option.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

The one that did not seem to work properly on my Bowtech wouldn't even fit on my Golden Eagle.   :dunno:  And the Revolution is about a third that cost.

Did you get the one that was made for the Bowtech? Or did you just get the Qad that can go on like universal?  The one I bought last weekend for my Monster said mathews right on it, I took out one screw and put the new one on with the screw provided and tied the string to my down cable works flawless.  Supposedly QAD is making them for all kinds of bows now, I just love how it holds the arrow in, how quiet it is and if you decide not to shoot just flick it with your thumb and it releases your arrow.
