I think pretty much everyone on here knows the difference between a semi-auto, and an actual assault rifle. I also think most of us know to correct and educate people when they say "assault weapon", and mean anything that looks military.. You like how the gun grabbers refer to semi-auto's as if they are some new and deadly thing that just came out yesterday? I like to ask them when since semi-auto guns became common in about 1910 did they suddenly become to dangerous for civilians to be trusted with? OH-thats right, "high capacity magazines"(another made up term) didnt become common in pistols till 1935, and not in carbines until 1945 or so... heck even AR-15's have been available and common for 50 years... rifles of any type are used in a very small percentage (6%?) of gun crimes and what happens next year when a couple high profile crimes are commited with revolvers? or a pump shotgun?
