Underwear
« on: September 20, 2008, 01:51:36 PM »
I know this may seem like a strange poll but last season was an eye opener for me. I used to think underwear is underwear is underwear. Last year i started hiking a bunch and the cotton boxer briefs i had been wearing did nothing but chafe me, going commando did the same and even worse.  :'( So i switched to underarmor spandex   :IBCOOL: ... what do you guys do to stay comfortable?

Underarmor no question. Cured the chafe problem. Hands down one of the best investments I have made.

I used to always wear regular old cotton boxers, but some sweaty early season days would leave me raw.  So I looked around for synthetic drawers.  Turns out there must be a bunch of dudes that wear fancy underwear because Fred Meyer had a huge selection of Jockey synthetic stuff.  Nice and light, stretchy, pretty comfy once you get used to them, and ZERO chafing.  JDB - they even have thongs.

I always thought those were for the feet. You know flip flops, slippers, etc. now they are something else. Just like a hat condom, or rubber for the feet.

Speedo's!

Just kiding  :chuckle: I used boxer briefs this early season but I'm thinking that the underarmor might be worth a look ... I have a couple of the shirts and they really perform well so why wouldn't the undies? ... or panties in the case of some guy's like bucklucky!  :chuckle:
