Interesting. How many moose are estimated to be in that area?

Yearling,  I seen two cows last fall up the valley, this was the calf  i'm  guessing, I seen one other bull about 4 years ago in the same area, was about 24 inches then.

Wow... did not know there was moose in there...   lol..  Will be a bit more observant from now on... Would love to get photos of them.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Probably a pack of wolves chasing it :bash: I'm getting real sick and tired of these darn wolves!! I would always see a bunch of animals along the highway but not any more with these wolves!

Those moose won't last long. Wolves love elk more than deer but absolutely crave moose.  Yellowstone can not confirm for sure if they have a single moose left.  Say goodbye to the Teanaway moose.

Moose IMO is the best meat there is. My Canada moose, granted it was a younger bull... even the neck meat was tender.  :cue:  I drool in my sleep over finding a way to another moose hunt  :chuckle:

We seen a cow and a calf Friday night around midnight, 7 miles from the turn at Pateros right before black canyon creek on our way to Winthrop. They were laying in a field right next to the road and got up and walked away when we stopped to look at them. I have never seen them that low in the valley all though I have heard of them down that way.

I have to agree, the moose up there will be easy pickings to  predators  as the snow drives them down, deer numbers have already dropped to as low as I have ever seen, when the food supply runs out the wolfs will move on, next stop the Joe Watt.
