Photo salvation "scrap"
« on: January 26, 2013, 10:07:10 AM »
I don't like to post process.  I literally mostly post what I take, adjusting size and occasionally light balance at best.   These two were really out of funk with lighting, so played a little.   I still don't like how they turned out, but love the deer so what the heck.

I just assume you'd like to see them even though I have "scrapped" them

I would like  see what they looked like before the adjustments.  They look pretty good know.

I've been messing around with adjusting the brightness and contrast on my hunting videos and it has helped out a lot.  Can you suggest any other settings to mess with; maybe saturation?

With these, I played with the color curve and saturation, and lightened and darkened shadows etc.   I didn't save the originals,   let me see if I can recover them.  One of the big limitations with photoshop CS I believe.

Try doing all adjustment as layers and then save the "new image" in PSD that will leave your original as is for future use. Just a FYI.

Your "scraps" would be wall hangers for 95% of the photographers out there.

You can save your originals with CS. CS only adjusts a copy of your original that you import into the software from your hard drive, the original is never touched. :twocents:

Impressive scraps!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!!"

Both those photos seem very unique to me. I really like that first one with the vegetation in the way.

adobe is giving away CS2 for free now.  if you're using CS, might look for the free upgrade...
