New to the board
« on: September 22, 2008, 12:44:51 PM »
Hey guys I am a lifetime deer hunter (well I am only 25) originally from Alabama and I am really wanting to chase some Washington deer.  My wife and I have only been in Washington since June.  We live in Kennewick where I work at Kennewick Baptist Church as the youth pastor.

Any tips or helps would be greatly appreciated.  I would love to find some hunting buddies as well!!

Thanks for reading and God bless!
Clay Thomas

Welcome to the Northwest Clay!
I'm a mule deer fanatic!  They are quite a bit different than hunting whitetail.  I'm over in Clarkston, a little too far maybe to be a hunting buddy.  You should be able to find quite a few local opportunities.  If it doesn't pan out I can put you on a few spots over here.  It's pretty busy during rifle season.  I much prefer to bowhunt because the season in much longer & you rarely see another hunter.

Welcome.  I live in Kennewick as well.  There are plenty of feel free to hunt lands and public land that is overlooked.  You might not see as many deer, but the ones you see are acting naturally and not running around with their tongues out and dodging bullets.
