It's just a matter of time before the muck's own it, there's nobody doubting that.

What is the Kapowsin permit? What makes it so special?

It's a permit that gives you a key to access thousands of acres of private gated land to hunt deer, bear, predators and do what ever. They draw 6 permit holders for a chance to hunt elk on the property, big elk. It is located in the kapowsin area, you can take up to 5 cords of wood with your permit. They only sell 1200 permits, which I think is too much. The deer hunting used to be better but it's still ok, I would hope with the gates there is less poaching. The permit cost 350.00, expensive so it's a tough decision but it's close to home for me.

After they sell out, which will be soon, they will draw the permits before the state deadline for special permits. Last year it was sometime in mid April if I remember correctly. They will absolutly draw before the state deadline though.

So you pay $350 for private land access. Then you apply for a special permit in the game regs to get a chance at a trophy bull? If you don't get drawn, then you have general season rules (3 point or better for elk/Any Buck for Deer)???

No. Hancock only let's 6 of the 1200 permittees hunt Bulls in there. Hancock does the drawing. The state is not involved.

Do you get an automatic entry into the drawing by paying the $350 or do you have to buy raffle tickets seperately?
So you can't hunt elk at all if you don't get drawn for their bull raffle? but you can hunt Any Buck deer?
Can you have a partner come with you; if you get drawn, as long as they are not hunting (pack bitch)?

Yes you are automatically entered into the drawing. If you get drawn you can have one helper come with you. You can't hunt elk unless you are one of the six drawn. Except there is a special permit cow hunt in January that you can hunt cows (WDFW Permit) Yes you can hunt deer in there.
