wtf?

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Sounds like someone reported he poached a deer, but his alibi is he was seen in the high country by a gamie Juilie Cook? Now he is after the "rat", who he knows falsely reported he poached?

If so, Bone Collector, please keep the threats off this site. We are trying to maintain civility and promote responsibility here. (Usually...)  :dunno:

Bone Collector, keep in mind, falsely reporting a crime, is a crime in and of itself, and if you can keep yourself in control, push that they prosecute the individual for false reporting.

You can edit your original post and remove the threat.....

Miles, last time I checked.... "I'M HUNTING YOU NOW...(so we can) settle this the right way... :boxin:" , is a threat.  Try explaining that one to the cops or a judge...  :chuckle:

I dont' know if it was edited, but it says "Tall Cold One"

Also, it looks like you were really mad, but could you calmly and with some additional details give us some more information about what the situation is?

Had it happen to our family about an elk and we had;nt even been in the woods. It is really bad when someone accuses you of something and the dfw comes down on you but won;t tell you who said it so they can protect them. A friend of ours in the coast guard almost lost his career over it. The dwf said after three years if a case is not found about a person then you can go to public records and see who falsley reported a violation. We waited three years but then felt it would be better if we did;nt know. I know how mad it can make you but it;s best to go about your business and let it drop.

no she couldn't tell who it was, only that they had enough info to make it worth her time to go on a 20 mile hike. after she found nothing she lightened up and thanked us and left.  i have an email into the game dept. asking if the will go after people who falsely report stuff......haven't heard back.  hunting is my passion as well as everyone's who's on this site. when someone tries to mess with it or get it taken away i do get angry. i live in a small town, and in small town secrets are hard to keep. the word is out that there is a rat in the community. and it's only a matter of time before someone spills the beans. I'm not going to go after the person physically because they just call the cops this time. I'm going to be more creative then that.

i can see how this sight can be a word war, i ment no offense to you or any other of the persons that have posting on you subject.

I have never heard of a "julie cook". she must be a game warden in your area.
